About Madison Mediation, LLC

We are proud to provide solution-based Mediation Services for Texas. Madison Mediation is a mediation firm with our main office based in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas. Madison Mediation conducts mediation remotely by Zoom for parties and attorneys anywhere in the state of Texas.

What is mediation?

Mediation is a private, structured, interactive process whereby an impartial third party—the mediator—assists parties to resolve their conflict by reaching a compromise, negotiated settlement agreement. Mediation is a voluntary process. Although often mandated by the terms of a contract, or by a judge or arbitrator as a pre-trial requirement once litigation or arbitration has been filed, the parties to a mediation will only reach a compromise, negotiated settlement agreement (“Mediated Settlement Agreement”) by the mutual assent of all parties present. Mediation is also private. The discussions held between the parties and the mediator at mediation are held confidential, whether or not the case is settled at mediation.

Today, the vast majority of civil litigation cases are settled at mediation. Mediation can also be used to resolve conflicts before a lawsuit has been filed. In fact, most modern contracts require the parties to mediate before litigation or arbitration is commenced, and many judges and arbitrators require parties to make a good-faith effort to resolve their dispute by mediation.
