Fee Structure

The Mediation Fee for a 1/2-day is $500 per party. The Mediation Free for a full day is $750 per party. All parties represented by the same attorney are considered a single party for the purposed os calculating a Mediation Fee. A typical full-day mediation beings at 9:00AM and concludes by 5:00PM. A typical 1/2-day Mediation begins at 9:00AM, 1:00PM, or 5:00PM and lasts four (4) hours.

If Mediation extends past the allotted time, we charge an hourly rate of $200 split evenly among the parties.

Payment of the Mediation Fee should be made no later than seven (7) days before commencement of the scheduled mediation session. The Mediator reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule the mediation if the mediation fees are not timely paid by all parties attending the mediation.

We do not change separates fees for administration. The Mediation Fee listed above includes scheduling and administrating of the mediation session, all preparation time, all pre-mediation phone calls, the mediation itself, refreshments and lunch (for full day mediations held in person), and follow-up telephone calls and conferences where appropriate.

However, in special circumstances, such as for non-monetary requests for injunctive or declaratory relief, or complex litigation where a substantial amount of preparation or follow-up work is required, we will set the mediation fee and any additional fee as may be appropriate after a discussion with counsel.

We are willing to mediate on evenings or weekends as an accommodation to the parties when requested and the mediator is available on the requested date(s). Although most mediation sessions are conducted remotely using Zoom, we are also willing to conduct mediation sessions in person when requested at our offices in Lake Jackson.

A cancellation fee of $500 is charged to the cancelling party(or parties) only if the mediation is cancelled within seven (7) days prior to the scheduled mediation. At the mediators sole discretion, the cancellation fee may be waived when cancellation is caused by illness or other reason beyond the party’s control, and the parties are willing to reschedule the mediation.
